Views and errors are my own.<\/p>\n<p>Full version: \u00a0I serve as <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Executive Director for <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/nycquakers.org\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">NYC Quakers<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8211;also known as the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/nycquakers.org\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">New York Quarterly Meeting of the Religious Society of Friends,<\/span><\/a>\u00a0<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">a non-profit that supports faith-based communities in Brooklyn, Manhattan and Queens by creating quiet spaces for worship and hubs for activism and social change embedded in Quaker values of simplicity, peace, integrity, community, equality and stewardship.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">At Consumer Reports, I helped build the New Ventures Team to identify unmet needs that CR could serve in meaningful and impactful ways. I also led the development of CR&#8217;s membership program and helped reimagine CR&#8217;s mobile ratings app. \u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I&#8217;ve \u00a0worked in education and technology \u00a0and directed programs at NYU Abu Dhabi, Columbia University, and MOUSE. Generally, I&#8217;m passionate about putting technology in service of education or an organization&#8217;s mission&#8211;not in using technology for its own sake.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I&#8217;ve \u00a0been a part of a few startup teams, including the mostly forgotten <\/span><a style=\"font-size: 1rem;\" href=\"https:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20110429035334\/http:\/\/www.fathom.com\/\">Fathom<\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Knowledge Network, and\u00a0 <\/span><a style=\"font-size: 1rem;\" href=\"http:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/19990508155019\/www.nytoday.com\/sites\/community_322b\/index.html\">New York Today<\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8211;a failed attempt by the New York Times to challenge Craigslist. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I started my career in public service as a legislative assistant for US Rep. <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/liberaldesert.blogspot.com\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Sam Coppersmith<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.\u00a0 I also served as a <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/peacecorps.gov\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Peace Corps Volunteer<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Lithuania\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Lithuania<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I earned my BA from <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.susqu.edu\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Susquehanna University<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and an MPA from Columbia University&#8217;s <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/sipa.columbia.edu\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">School of International and Public Affairs<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. I was a <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.corofellowship.org\/fellows-in-action\/fellowship-locations\/coro-fellowship-new-york\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Coro Leadership New York<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Fellow.
